Proud2Be is a grassroots, queer-led social enterprise that supports and enables LGBTQIA+ people in Devon and beyond to be free, safe, and proud to be ourselves.
Twins Max and Maya Price founded Proud2Be in 2011, inspired by the bullying, isolation, and discrimination they experienced growing up queer in a rural village. What began as a bold video campaign has grown into a thriving social enterprise, building inclusive spaces and raising awareness across the UK.
We create safe, welcoming spaces for LGBTQIA+ people and our allies, and raise positive awareness through training, and consultancy.
We offer a wide range of services across three key areas:
Regular groups, events and 121 support for LGBTQIA+ adults aged 18+
Inclusive spaces for LGBTQIA+ families and those supporting LGBTQIA+ children and young people.
Support for LGBTQIA+ young people aged 11-17, including groups and 121 sessions.
We deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to professionals, organisations, and groups – both in-person and online.
